Letter from Fr. Bratso Krsic

Dear Parishioners and Friends,                                                                                     December 06, 2023

"To everything, there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven."
Ecclesiastes 3:1

As we step into this Nativity season, let's carry the wisdom of Ecclesiastes 3:1 in our hearts. This profound scripture reminds us of the divinely orchestrated rhythm of life, where each moment and activity have a designated time in God's grand design.

Life is a beautiful tapestry of seasons – times of growth and rest, silence and celebration, and joy and sorrow. Each season has its purpose and its lessons. In seasons of joy and growth, we are reminded of God's abundant blessings and the joy of living in His grace. In seasons of adversity and sorrow, we can lean into God's unfailing strength and experience His comfort more profoundly.

In every season, God is with us, guiding and shaping us.

This Nativity season, my beloved parishioners, and friends, I invite you to come to church and participate in the services and activities of our parish. I repeat, come to church to be with our parish family! We have missed many of you! Young, young at heart, active and inactive, cradle and non-cradle. Come! Come and see!

This Nativity season is for the renewal of our faith in our Lord. We renew our faith in Him by participating in the Liturgy and sacraments, reading the Bible (Orthodox Study Bible) and the lives of saints (The Prologue), and daily prayer. Regular services are Saturdays – Vespers 6 pm; Sundays – Matins 9 am, Divine Liturgy 10 am, followed by Sunday school, Luncheon, Serbian language classes, and Folklore practice. Please visit our website for details: www.StGeorgeInSD.org or contact me at 619-276-5827. If you do not receive weekly emails, please let us know. We will be happy to add your email address to our contact list.

St. George Parish is our home, where we are spiritually nourished. Take an active part in our parish ministries. I am here to minister to you all.

I look forward to seeing you all. May this season be one of renewal of our faith and commitment to our Lord and our parish.

With love and prayers in Christ for you all,

Protopresbyter-stavrophor Bratislav Bratso Krsic
